When police pursue a fleeing suspect in a vehicle, they must balance the safety of other drivers against the need to immediately apprehend the person they’re chasing.

Such pursuits can and do result in car crashes that seriously injure civilians. So when do you chase, and when do you stop? We’ll talk about that today with a person injured in a police chase on the Know the News podcast.
